Day 1: Arrival to Marrakech
Arrival at Marrakech Airport and transfer to the hotel. Depending on flight times, there may be time for a first walk through the lively streets and squares of Marrakech, one of the most vibrant cities in North Africa.
Day 2: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley (330 km)
The journey begins with a scenic drive through the High Atlas Mountains, via the impressive Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2,260 m), the highest road pass in Morocco. Along the way, the route winds through Berber villages and ever-changing landscapes.
A highlight of the day is the visit to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient ksar (fortified village) of earthen buildings and towers has been used as a film set for Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and many other productions.
The route continues past Ouarzazate and through the beautiful Skoura palm grove, before reaching the dramatic rock formations of the Dades Valley, where we will spend the night.
Dinner and overnight in the Dades Gorges.
Day 3: Dades Valley – Merzouga (280 km)
The road continues through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, with more opportunities to admire Morocco’s landscapes and architecture.
In the afternoon, arrival at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes, near Merzouga. Here begins the Sahara Desert experience: a camel ride at sunset across the towering golden dunes of the Moroccan Sahara.
There will be a stop to watch the sunset over the sands - one of the highlights of the trip. Upon arrival at the desert camp, we will be welcomed with traditional Berber tea and a delicious dinner. The evening continues with local music under the stars.
The night will be spent in desert tents, surrounded by the majestic dunes of Erg Chebbi - a truly unforgettable experience.
Day 4: Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Marrakech (550 km)
An early wake-up offers the chance to see the sunrise over the dunes - a peaceful and breathtaking moment. After returning by camel to the hostel for breakfast and a shower, the journey continues through the Draa Valley, home to one of the largest palm groves in Morocco.
Crossing once again through the Atlas Mountains, we return to Marrakech in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5: Marrakech
Depending on flight times, the morning may include a guided tour of Marrakech, the "Pearl of the South."
Visitors can explore highlights such as the Jemaa el-Fna square, the Koutoubia Mosque, colorful souks, and the rich architecture of the city’s palaces and medina. If the return flight is scheduled early, this visit may not be possible.
