ORDESA & MONTE PERDIDO

Embark on an unforgettable adventure in Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997 for its spectacular geology and ecological diversity.
Located in the northeastern region of Spain, within the autonomous community of Aragon, this park was established in 1918 and stretches across the impressive Pyrenees. It includes the Ordesa Valley and a limestone massif, with Monte Perdido as the highest peak.

During our hike, we will explore the classic Ordesa Valley route, a 10 km round-trip of medium difficulty that allows us to delve deep into the long and spectacular valley. Appreciate the valley walls carved by the erosion of an ancient glacier and enjoy the waterfalls of the Arazas River such as the Arripas Waterfall, the Cueva Waterfall, El Estrecho, and the Gradas de Soaso.

In addition to its stunning mountainous landscapes and waterfalls that adorn the valley, the park is famous for its diverse and unique flora and fauna, including typical regional species. Although the Pyrenean ibex, a symbol of the park, became extinct in 2000, the park remains a vital refuge for many other species. With its numerous trails, visitors have the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the park's natural beauty and discover each of its unique and enchanting corners.

JACA

Jaca, a historic town founded in the 11th century, is nestled in the province of Huesca in the Aragón region of Spain.
Situated strategically along the Aragón River at the foot of the Pyrenees, Jaca spans approximately 440 square kilometers and serves as a crucial gateway to the Pyrenees Mountains. Known as the first capital of the Kingdom of Aragon, Jaca's rich history is reflected in its well-preserved medieval architecture, including the formidable Jaca Citadel, constructed in the late 16th century to defend against invasions.

The town is also famous for the Romanesque Cathedral of St. Peter, one of the oldest in Spain, which showcases stunning architectural details from the Romanesque period. Jaca’s vibrant street life, bustling with cafes and shops, draws visitors year-round, offering a lively atmosphere that contrasts with its historical backdrop. Whether exploring ancient fortifications, enjoying local cuisine, or participating in outdoor activities in the nearby mountains, Jaca provides a compelling blend of history, culture, and natural beauty.
